Team Pukeko high jumpers in action!

Celebration time

Today Team Pukeko presented their art at celebration time. Elliot shared his favourite library book and Dante was our writer of the week. Isabell was our MVP for respect and self responsibility.  Sophie and Elliot got certificates for great learning. 

Writing

We are learning to use wow words on our writing. Today we wrote about going to the beach and what we hear, smell and see. We played in the sandpit and watched a video clip about kids playing on the beach.

The new parachute mat

We had a lot of fun near the end of school today when we got to play with our new parachute mat. We got to lie underneath it and bounce and roll a ball on top of it.

Time!

We are learning to tell the time. We made clocks that we can practice with. We are learning half past. Luke can make quarter past!

Cricket

Today we had a ball skill session with Jamie from Cricket Southland. We had to do thing like throwing the ball in the air and clapping before we caught it. Some of found it quite tricky so we will have to practise!

Celebration Time

These wonderful people got certificates for settling into Team Pukeko quickly and great work - well done Leo, Isabell and Calvin.

Placemats

Today we made placemats for our desks. We have the alphabet, words, numbers and school information on them to help us during the day. We had to learn how to use the laminator to make our placemats!

Great learning

This morning we learnt about the months in the year and putting them in order as part of our Time unit at math time. Then we finished our holiday stories. What great learners we are in Team Pukeko!
