Red Nose Day

Today we celebrated Red Nose Day by dressing up as clowns and wearing red noses.  We were raising money for Cure Kids.  For a gold coin donation we could guess the number of jaffas in the lollie jar.  I hope we win!

Jellybeans

Today Mrs Wallis from the Jellybeans playgroup came in to talk to us about what we could do to help out the playgroup.  For this term's Inquiry we are giving something back to our community and we think Jellybeans is ideal because some of us went to that playgroup and some of our brother or sister still go there.  Mrs Wallis said that they need some more musical instruments so we have an idea that we could make some for the playgroup.  How exciting!

Fun in the Pool!

Swimming and Ice- skating

Art

The Year Three students were away today so the Year Two students got to paint or do pastel/dye art work. They were drawing funimals (strange imagined animals) from a book we had read.

Triplets!

Mrs Weir got a little confused when Asha, Ashley and Paige all turned up at school dressed the same!

Maths - length

For maths we are learning about measurement - length.  We worked in groups to measure things around our room using our hands and feet.  Next week we will begin measuring with rulers and metre rulers.

                                                          Who has the longest shoe?

We had a competition to see if the boys or girls would be first to get in order from the tallest to the shortest person in the room.  The boys won!
