MVP

Alice Roy is our wonderful MVP for the learning value of Flexability.  Great work Alice, we love having you in Team Pukeko!

Mr Esler

Mr Esler came to our school to show us his selection of mini-beasts he has collected.  He also talked to us about different mini-beasts found in Southland. He had lots of great photos to show us.  We were amazed to find out if there were no mini-beasts there would be no fruit in the world! Wow!

Argument Writing

This week we have been writing arguments for writing.

The Best Pet is...
I think a cat is the best  pet  because they give you cuddles  and you can pat them and  they  keep  you  company  when  you  are sad. So I  think  you should get a cat. Cats kill rats and mice and lizards.
Janet

Should we learn to swim at school?
Swimming shouldn't be banned from the school because it teaches us to swim. If you fall in a lake  river or creek you can swim your way free and you won't drown. People have fun swimming. Some people don't like swimming but you still need to be taught!

MVP

This week's MVP is Gabby Shepherd who displays our school value of Self Control.  Great work Gabby!

These people reached their learning goals they made at the beginning of the year - well done!

Molly the Lab

We were very lucky to have a visit from Molly, Olivia's 10 week old lab pup.  Isn't she cute!

Mini Olympics

On Wednesday afternoon we participated in the Mini Olympics.  The school council organised the afternoon so we could raise money for Matthew Caldwell who is going to the Sydney special Olympics later this month.  Matthew plays Ten Pin Bowling.  We raised about $150.00.  Good luck Matthew!
