Tidy kiwi

Reuben got the tidy kiwi award today at celebration time.  He picked up rubbish around our school and the rugby club rooms.  We'll done Reuben!

Ice skating and swimming

We had an awesome day at the Gore Multisports complex ice skating and swimming today.

It was great to see lots of mums, Dads and grandparents there to join in the fun.

My Birthday Party

On Thursday it was my birthday. My  friends  came  over. My
friends names are Amilea  and Aunty Nicole.  My nana gave
me a cake and it  had  a  car on  top  of  my  cake. Then we went to Splash Palace.  After Splash Palace I got my presents.  I got a car that can flip and I got a colouring in book and pens.  Nana got me new clothes, cup and a onesie.  It was exciting!  Then we went home.

Firewise

Mr shepherd from the Edendale volunteer fire brigade came to teach us about being Firewise. We learnt about hazards around the home and what to do in a fire.

We practised getting out of a smoke filled room by getting down low and yelling Fire! fire! fire! We then ran to our safe meeting place on the tennis court.

New games

Thanks to our wonderful Home and School generosity we have some new games in Team Pukeko.

Fractions at math time

Today we were learning about fractions at math time. We now know about 1/2 and 1/4.

Celebration time

These wonderful children got certificates for great learning at celebration time today.

We Said farewell to Keegan.  

Rueben was our MVP for our school value of Honesty.

We showed our pastel and dye pictures we made to show what we did in the holidays.

First week back at school

It's great to be back at school. We are learning how to be Firewise this week and look forward to a visit from the Fire Brigade on Monday.

We have been writing lgreat recounts about our holiday adventures.

Room two made a surprise visit to our room to sing Ben Happy Birthday - great singing!

Happy Holidays!

I hope you are all enjoying your holiday break.  I had a wonderful time in sunny Rarotonga with my family and friends.  Look who also joined us - Mrs Pukeko!  She had a great time eating coconuts, pawpaw, riding on the scooter, sunbathing and exploring the Island.
