Pears!

Wow I said when I saw those  pears. On Wednesday  we each got a pear.   They are called ice cream pears because they are shaped like a cone. They are quite nice! The whole school got one!

Week 8

Kia Ora

Huge thanks for the support and wonderful help the children received preparing their speeches.  They were awesome!  I recorded them on the I-pad for the children to watch back and hopefully they will be uploaded to the Blog in the near future.

Ooopps!! I’m so, so sorry that I forgot to hand out the Achievement Reporting Books on Friday.  They will be in your child’s bag Monday night!

My speech

On Wednesday  I did my speech. It was about going to frontera. When we got there we watched a movie about safety and what would happen for the day. Then we where on are way.  We went to two more farms before it was lunch time I had a pie and  an ice cream. Then we went to two more farms. Then dad dropped me off I had the best day ever.

Week 7

Kia Ora
It was fantastic having Miss Todd teaching in our room for the last three weeks but now she has to return to college (after a well-deserved rest).  She will be back later in Term three.

We had an awesome time in the Space Dome last Thursday.  The students (and teachers) were in awe at the massive size of stars and galaxies.  We had many wonderful discussions afterwards and lots of questions.

This Week:

Edendale’s Got Talent – all week

Monday and Tuesday – Mrs Stirling will be teaching

Wednesday and Thursday – Speeches

Friday – Basic facts and spelling testing.  Achievement books issued.

Today students are bringing home a notice about Speeches that will have to be presented in week seven.  These are to be prepared for homework over the next two weeks.
Topics include:
hero's, family, holidays, space, animals, toys

Speeches have to be 1 - 2 minutes in length.
